Replacing the Waste Toner Bot-
tle
R WARNING
• Do not incinerate spilled toner
or used toner. Toner dust
might ignite when exposed to
an open flame.
• Disposal can take place at our
authorized dealer or at appro-
priate collection sites.
• If you dispose of the used
toner containers yourself, dis-
pose of it according to local
regulations.

• Do not open the front cover
when the paper tray is pulled out
halfway. If you do, it might cause
a personal injury.
Important
Waste toner bottles are consumable
items and cannot be reused. We rec-
ommend that you purchase extra
waste toner bottles and keep them
on hand for replacement when nec-
essary.
The message shown below appears
on the panel display when the
waste toner bottle becomes full.
Replace the used toner bottle when
this message appears.

Note
Before removing the waste toner
bottle from the printer, spread pa-
per or some other material around

the area you are working to keep
toner from making floor dirty.

Open the front cover by pulling
the front cover open lever.

Angling the waste toner bottle as
shown in the illustration, pull it
out of waste toner bottle holder.
C
Remove the sticker from the side
of the new waste toner bottle and
use it to seal the old waste toner
bottle.
