Host_name is the name that it was installed with the installation shell script.
rcp
To appoint file and print it
% rcp file_name [ file_name... ] host_name :filetype=RPS
To print all of the files in a directory
% rcp -r directory_name host_name :filetype=RPS
Note

You can use wild cards ( * or ? ) for the file name.

be printed use the put or mput com-
mands.
Limitation
File names cannot contain "=" or
",".
To print one file
ftp> put file_name file-
type=RPS
To print several files
ftp>
[ file_name... ]
Limitation
To print using the mput com-
mand you must first set the
printer emulation to R-PS2. You
cannot print when emulation is
set to IPDL-C.
Note
You can use wild cards ( * or ? )
for the file name with the mput
command.

how to print a file using ftp.

Start ftp using the IP address or
host name of the printer.
% ftp IP_address

Input the user name, for the pass-
word input nothing, and then
press { { { { Return} } } } .

Set the file transfer mode to bina-
ry.
ftp> bin

Print the file.
