NetWare 4.x Configuration

The actual procedures for configuring your printer differ depending on whether
the Network Interface Board is configured as a print server or as a remote print-
er. This section describes how to configure it in the NetWare 4.x environment.

Preparation
The following procedures use the Property Sheet method in configuring the
Network Interface Board. If you configure the Network Interface Board as a
NetWare print server for the first time after physically installing it, we recom-
mend you use the Wizard method. For more information, refer toP.26 "Con-
figuring the Network Interface Board Using the NIB Setup Tool".
Note
This section assumes NetWare is functional and that the necessary environ-
ment for the NetWare Print Service is available.
You should install the NetWare client 32 or the IntranetWare Client on the
Windows before running the NetWare Admin.

Setting Up as Print Server

Important
You must use the NDS mode when setting up as a print server in NetWare
4.x.
