Printed toner
smudges when
rubbed with your
finger.
Toner is not
fused.
The paper is dirty
with toner.
The entire paper
area is printed
black.
Nothing is
printed.
White areas or
white or colored
stripes appear.

Symptom Cause
The paper is damp.
The paper is unsuitable.
The drum cartridge has
deteriorated or is damaged.
High-voltage power supply
problem may have
occurred.
Two or more sheets of
paper are being fed
simultaneously (double-
feed).
There is no toner left in the
toner cartridge.
High-voltage power supply
problem may have
occurred.
The paper is damp.
The paper is unsuitable.
Remedy
Replace the paper with new one.

Load suitable paper.

Replace the drum cartridge with a new
one.
