14 Problem Solving

Error Code

This section explains error codes.
If an error caused printing to end abnormally, or a malfunction occurred in the machine,
then an error message code (∗∗∗-∗∗∗) is displayed.
For faxing, an error code is also displayed on [Activity Reports] and [Transmission
Report - Job Undelivered].
Refer to the following table for error codes to rectify problems.

[Remedy] Increase the resolution or scan area.

[Remedy] Set [Resolution] to [400dpi] or lower, and try again.
Cause and Remedy
Unable to process the job template due to insufficient hard
disk space.

A digital code is embedded in the document to restrict
duplication.
The scanning ratio set to the front and back sides of the
document does not match when making 2-sided copies
using Build Job feature.
Unable to store any documents using the 2-Sided Book
Copy feature.
Unable to process, because the specified document area

The mixed sized document was to be scanned at 600dpi
with Color/2 Sided.
