User Guidelines
This command forces a warm restart of the stack. The backup unit takes over
as the new management unit without clearing the hardware state on any of
the stack members. The original management unit reboots. If the system is
not ready for a warm restart, for example because no backup unit has been
elected or one or more members of the stack do not support nonstop
forwarding, the command fails with a warning message.
The movemanagement command also transfers control from the current
management unit; however, the hardware is cleared and all units reinitialize.

console(config-stack)#initiate failover ?

Use the member command in Stack Global Configuration mode to configure
the switch. Execute this command on the Management Switch. To remove a
switch from the stack, use the no form of the command.
NOTE:
The "no" form of the command may not be used if the member is present in
the stack.
