6. EtherCAT Slave Controller Function
6.1 Features
The EtherCAT slave controller (ESC) uses the EtherCAT slave controller IP core made by Beckhoff Automation GmbH,
Germany.
The ESC processes EtherCAT communications and acts as the interface between the EtherCAT field bus and slave
applications.
