Cause
The appropriate IP address has not been set up.
When the machine is started up, its IP address is not
assigned by means of DHCP, RARP, or BOOTP.

In system control setup (user mode), 'use NetWare' is
set to 'off' in NetWare settings.

While e-mail is being transmitted or i-fax is
transmitted/received, the communication with the
SMTP server encountered a timeout error because of a
factor associated with the main server.
While an SMTP connection is being used, the SMTP
server has returned an error.
The address setting is not correct.
When data is transmitted to the file server, an error has
occurred owing to a factor associated with the server.
An attempt has been made to transmit data to an
address not authorized for a write operation.
In the course of transmitting data (file server), it was
found that there is a file having the same name, and an
overwrite operation to the file is prohibited.
In relation to transmission (file server), the folder name
or the password that has been specified is wrong.

In the system control setup (user mode), the settings of
the SMTP server for e-mail/i-fax are wrong.
The setting of the DNS server is wrong.
The attempt to connect to the DNS server has failed.

Before all pages have been transmitted, the target has
cut off the network.

Remedy
In user mode, check the TCP/IP settings.
In user mode, check the TCP/IP settings.
In network settings of system control setup (user
mode), set 'use NetWare' to 'on'.
1. Check to see that SMTP is operating normally.
2. Check the condition of the network.

4. Check the condition of the file server and the setting.
Check the address setting.
Change the setting of the file server so that overwriting
may be permitted.
Check the address setting.
In the network settings under system control settings
(user mode), check the SMTP server name and the
DNS server name. Check to see if the DNS server is
operating normally.
