6E-66 ENGINE AND EMISSION CONTROL SYSTEM
1. Fuel feed line
2. Fuel return line
3. Fuel injector
4. Fuel pressure regulator
1. Main relay
2. Service wire
1) Install injector and fuel pressure regulator to special tool (injec-
2) Connect special tools (hoses and attachment) to hose and pipe
3) Connect special tool (test lead) to injector.
4) Install suitable vinyl tube onto injector nozzle to prevent fuel
5) Remove fuel pump relay.
6) Connect two terminals of relay connector as shown in figure.
7) Put graduated cylinder under injector as shown.
8) Apply battery voltage to injector for 15 seconds and measure in-

9) Check fuel leakage from injector nozzle. Do not operate injector

CAUTION:
Check to make sure that connection is made between
correct terminals. Wrong connection can cause dam-
age to ECM, wire harness, etc.
Turn ignition switch ON position.

If not within specification, replace injector.
Injected fuel volume:
43 – 47 cc/15 sec. (1.59/1.51 – 1.59/1.65 US/lmp. oz/15
sec.)

If fuel leaks more than following specifications, replace.
Fuel leakage: Less than 1 drop/min.
