DTC C1116 TORQUE SENSOR 8V POWER SUPPLY CIRCUIT FAIL
1. To main fuse
2. Ignition switch
3. "EPS" fuse (30A) in fuse box
4. "IG METER" fuse (15A) in fuse box
CAUTION:
Be sure to perform SYSTEM CHECK FLOW TABLE before starting diagnosis according to flow table
of each DTC.
STEP
1 1) Remove steering column lower cover.
2) Check proper connection for 5-pin ("C") connec-
tor to P/S control module.
3) If OK, ignition switch ON.
4) Check voltage between "C5" ("R" wire) terminal of
5-pin ("C") connector and body ground with "C"
connector connected to P/S control module.
5) Is it about 8 V?
2 1) Check torque sensor and its circuit. Refer to ON-
VEHICLE INSPECTION of TORQUE SENSOR.
2) Is torque sensor in good condition?

NOTE:
Upon completion of inspection and repair work, repeat SYSTEM CHECK FLOW TABLE to confirm that the
trouble has been corrected.

YES
Go to STEP 2.
Substitute a known-
good P/S control mod-
ule and recheck.
NO
Repair high resistance,
open or short to power
circuit or ground in 8V
power supply ("R"
wire) circuit.
Replace torque sensor
and recheck.
