4.4 TCP server communication

4.4.1 Getting started with basis configuration (required for TCP/Internet
applications, only)
Change all required settings corresponding to the GPRS (GPRS settings) and the remote
server (TCP settings), respectively, and adapt them to your conditions to be developed.
All settings
"$PFAL,Cnf.Set,<parameter>*Checksumm" input message. Finally, enter the PIN number
of the used SIM card (SIM card must be available in the SIM card interface of the
device). This configuration must be locally done (communicating via Bluetooth),
otherwise no connection can be performed.
Enter the GPRS Settings, only if the Remote server is already available and your
application interface requires a TCP connection:
$PFAL,Cnf.Set,GPRS.APN=internet.t-d1.de (for example)
$PFAL,Cnf.Set,GPRS.QOS=3,4,3,0,0
SETUP
$PFAL,Cnf.Set,GPRS.QOSMIN=0,0,0,0,0
$PFAL,Cnf.Set,PPP.USERNAME=t-d1 (if your provider requires)
$PFAL,Cnf.Set,PPP.PASSWORD=gprs (if your provider requires)
$PFAL,Cnf.Set,GPRS.AUTOSTART=1 (default = 1)
(Once the $PFAL,Cnf.Set,GPRS.AUTOSTART=1 message is sent to the MAMBOII device, it
tries immediately to attach itself to the GPRS services, unimportant in which operating state

Enter the TCP Settings, only if Remote server is already available and your application
interface requires a TCP connection:

Enter the SIM PIN:

Enter the PIN of the used SIM card (your SIM card inserted into the MAMBOII device which is

supplied by your GSM operator or retailer) and not 1111.
If problems are met regarding TCP configuration, contact your network administrator
and request the server IP address, Port number and the login data. To note, the
MAMBOII device is responsible for initiating the connection to the remote server using
the IP address and the Port number that you specify. While, the used remote server is
responsible for accepting the connection requested from the MAMBOII device. Once
the PIN number is entered, the MAMBOII device tries automatically to start GPRS and
TCP services and performs that connection that is defined in the user-configuration (if
$PFAL,Cnf.Set,GPRS.AUTOSTART=1)

To enable sending and receiving the messages to and from the MAMBOII device, you
will need a user-developed program installed on the remote server.
NOTE: Unimportant in which format the supported messages are sent from the client
PC to the server PC. The installed program on the remote server must accept
the handling of that format, and based on the PFAL format (syntax) explained
throughout the document, the messages have to be transferred to the
MAMBOII device, otherwise the messages are ignored by the MAMBOII device.
