Data failback

Failing back a virtual tape library
If a virtual tape library or NAS share has been destroyed or corrupted
on the original source system, the data failback option copies the
replicated virtual tape library or share from the target system to the
source system. Once the replicated virtual tape library or share is
copied to the source system, it can be recovered on the source system
and returned to normal operation.
To fail back a virtual tape library or share:
1. Access the remote management pages on the target system.
2. On the Replication page, click Target Role.
The Target Role pages differ depending on the type of data being
replicated (virtual tape library or share). The following sections
provide information for your specific data type:

To fail back a virtual tape library:

1. On the Target Role page, click VTL.
The Target Role VTL page displays the available virtual tape
libraries that have been replicated. The page also displays
information of failback jobs.
2. To fail back a virtual tape library, select the virtual tape library
and click Failback.
The system prompts you for the hostname or IP address of the
source system.
3. Type the hostname or IP address of the source system where you
want the replicated virtual tape library to fail back.
The virtual tape library is recovered to the source system.
4. Open a new browser and access the remote management pages
on the Source system.
