2. On the Replication page, click the Target Role link.
The Target Role pages differ depending on the type of data being
recovered (virtual tape library or share). The following sections
provide information for your specific data type:
Recovering a virtual tape library
Recovering a NAS share
To recover a virtual tape library:
1. Click VTL in the Target Role page.
The Target Role VTL page displays the available virtual tape
libraries that have been replicated. The page also displays
information on failback jobs.
2. To recover a virtual tape library, select the virtual tape library and
click Recover.
3. The system prompts you to enter a name for the recovered virtual
tape library. This name must be unique on the target system.
The virtual tape library and its cartridges are recreated on the
target system. You must add tape drives and a robot and map the
devices before the virtual tape library is accessible.
To recover a NAS share:
1. Click NAS in the Target Role page.
The Target Role NAS page displays the available NAS shares that
have been replicated. The page also displays information on
failback jobs.
2. To recover a NAS share, select the NAS share and click Recover.
3. The system prompts you to enter a name for the recovered NAS
share. This name must be unique on the target system.
4. The NAS share is recreated on the target system and is ready for
use.
Note: If the source share is an NFS share, then the target NFS share must
be restored as an NFS share. If the source share is a CIFS share, then the
target CIFS share must be restored as a CIFS share.
