Configuring barcode filters

To access the Early Tape Creation page, on the Behaviors page, click
Early Tape Creation. The Early Tape Creation page appears.
Early tape creation is enabled all day by default. It is recommended
that this process run in the background while no other processes,
such as backups, are running.
To set early tape creation for a specific time:
1. Click the Enable Early Tape Creation All Day checkbox to
uncheck it.
2. Use the drop-down boxes to set the start time and end time for
the early tape creation window.
The barcode filter indicates the physical cartridges used for drive
cleaning. The Barcode Filter page displays the barcode filters.
To access the Barcode Filters page, on the Behaviors page, click
Barcode Filters. The Barcode Filters page appears.
Cleaning Barcode Filters
The cleaning barcode filter indicates the physical cartridges used for
drive cleaning.
The ? special character will match any individual character.
The * special character will match any number of characters.
Advanced filter examples:
TSM? - Will match any single alphanumeric character
following TSM, i.e. TSM0, TSMA, etc.
TSM* - Will match any number of characters following TSM,
i.e. TSM12, TSM12345, etc.
TSM.... - Will match exactly four characters following
TSM
TSM.+ - Means one or more characters are required to
match
TSM0* - Means that zero or more 0`s are required to
match, i.e. TSM00000
TSM[0-9] - Will match TSM1
TSM[0-9]*- Will match TSM1111111111
TSM[0-9]{3} - Will match TSM and three digits exactly
