150 EMC DL3D 1500 and DL3D 3000 Administrator's Guide
The Source Role VTL page displays the current replication status
for those virtual tape libraries enabled for replication and
information on the most recent namespace replication that was
run.
2. Select the virtual tape library and click Edit.
The Edit Replication page appears.
3. To edit the namespace replication time, select Replicate daily at
and enter the date and time to send the namespace of that VTL to
the target system.
4. Click Apply. The Source Role VTL page appears.
Running a namespace replication manually (on-demand
replication)
To manually replicate the namespace of a virtual tape library:
1. On the Source Role page, click VTL. The Source Role VTL page
appears.
2. Click Check Readiness. Check Readiness determines if all the
unique blocks of the VTL are transferred to the target system. If
not, wait for a little while and perform Check Readiness
operation again.
3. Select the virtual tape library and click Replicate Now. The
virtual tape library namespace is replicated from the source
system to the target system. When complete, a recoverable image
of that VTL will be available on the target system.
