b. On the Target Role NAS page, click Directory/File Based
Target. The Directory/File Based Target page appears.
c. Select Enable as a Directory/File Based Replication Target
and type a Sync ID in the edit box.
d. Select Unlocked to allow this NAS share to be used as a
replication target. Select Locked to deny use of this NAS share
as a directory/file-based replication target.
The NAS share directory/file-based replication configuration is
completed at the target system.
To set up the source DL3D appliance:
1. Specify the target system IP address to the source system. See
"Specifying the target system IP address" on page
2. Enable virtual tape libraries or NAS shares for replication.
After adding the source system hostname or IP address to the target
system, you must add the target system hostname or IP address to
the source system. The source system can replicate data to only one
target.
Note: You must configure the target system before configuring the source. If
the target system is not configured first, you will not be able to designate the
replication target.
1. Access the remote management pages on the source system.
2. On the Replication page, click Source Role.
The Source Role page appears.
3. Type the Hostname or IP address for the target system and click
Apply.
The source system can now replicate data to a target system.
To enable replication on a virtual tape library:
1. On the Source Role page, click VTL.
