Changes the state of the tape to recycled state
The recycle media command changes the state of the tape to recycled
state. You must specify the media barcode and the name of the virtual
tape library.
syscli --recycle media --barcode <barcode> --name <vtl name>
Changes the state of the tape to write-protected state
The writeprot media command changes the state of the tape to
write-protected state. You must specify the media barcode and the
name of the virtual tape library.
syscli --writeprot media --barcode <barcode> --name <vtl
name>[--disable]
Turns a virtual tape library online or offline
This offline | online command is used to turn a virtual tape library
online or offline. Only the admin user can turn a virtual tape library
online or offline. You must specify the name of the virtual tape
library.
IMPORTANT
A virtual tape library must be offline before you can edit or delete a
virtual tape library.
syscli --offline | --online --name <vtl name>
