Note: The virtual tape library must be offline before unloading a tape
cartridge.
4. Select the location type to be displayed (Drive or I/E Slot).
5. To force drives to unload prior to receiving a tape cartridge, click
Force Unload (Drives).
6. Select the tape drive or I/E slot in the virtual tape library to be
unloaded.
7. To reduce the number of tape cartridges displayed on the Unload
page, type a barcode that the system can use to filter the tape
cartridges. For example, typing LTO in the Barcode Filter,
displays tape cartridges with a barcode beginning with LTO.
8. Click Apply.
9. Click Yes to confirm the unload operation.
The tape cartridge is unloaded.
Use the Media Actions page to import, export, and remove virtual
tapes and cartridges from a virtual tape library. This page also
provides access control over virtual cartridges.
To access the Media Actions page, on the Virtual Tape Libraries
Configuration page, click Media Actions.
The Media Actions page is divided into the following sections:
Summary
Virtual Actions
The Summary page displays all virtual cartridges defined in the
system. To access the Summary page, on the Media Actions page,
click Summary. The Summary page appears.
