1. Create a CIFS share on the DL3D and join a workgroup or domain
type authentication domain (using the same type as the Galaxy
server).
2. Add a user cvadmin with a password on the DL3D.
3. Add a Windows user called cvadmin and make the user a
member of the Administrators and Backup Operators group.
4. Install CommVault Galaxy with user cvadmin and the same
password as in step 2.
5. Use the Toolbox Library and Drive Configuration utility to add
a magnetic library.
6. Select the Automatically create storage policy for datapaths
option and click OK.
7. Choose Network Path in the next window that displays and
connect as cvadmin.
8. Navigate to the mount path and select the CIFS share you created
on the DL3D. A MagLibrary with the share will appear under
Libraries.
9. Right-click the device and configure it, if not already configured.
Exit the Library and Drive Configuration utility.
10. Verify you have MagLibrary entries under the Media Agents and
Library resources.
11. From Client Computers/iDA File System > All Tasks, select
Create new backup set.
12. Type in a name for the backup set and click Add.
13. Type a subclient name under the General tab.
14. Select content for the backup under the Content tab.
15. Under the Storage Device tab, choose the storage policy you
created and click OK to commit.
16. Make sure all subclients are associated with storage policies.
17. Test the setup by right-clicking the backup set you created and
under All Tasks choose Backup all subclients.
18. Run the Job Controller to view progress.
