Configuring OST

Installing the OST client plug-in
The Open Storage Server (OST) page is used to configure storage
servers and also Logical Storage Units (LSUs). The LSUs are seen as
disk volumes by NetBackup. The LSUs contain the savesets written to
the DL3D.
Note: The OST is a licensed feature. You must upload the license key to use
this functionality. See
"License keys" on page 172

To access the OST page, from the Disk Backup page, click OST. The
OST page appears.
The OST page is divided into the following sections:
Storage servers
LSUs
To configure OST:
1. Install the OST client plug-in. See

The OST client plug-in allows the NetBackup software running on
your backup host to communicate with the DL3D 3000 OST service.
You must download the OST plug-in client to your backup host, then
install and configure the client to allow your Netbackup software to
use the OST feature.
To obtain the client plug-in, go to EMC Powerlink
(https://Powerlink.emc.com) and select Support > Software
Downloads > Downloads D > Disk Library.
