The plug-in is saved in lib/ost-plugins directory located under the
NetBackup install location:
<location of netbackup>/lib/ost-plugins
The Storage Servers page is used to add, edit, or delete OST storage
servers.
To view the Storage Servers page, from the OST page, click Storage
Servers. The Storage Servers page appears.
Note: The connections for a storage server = number of data streams + 1 (for
each LSU polling of the storage server). A backup job may generate more
than one data stream if the data can be read in parallel. For example, a policy
that is backing up the A, B, C, and D drives of a Windows system can
generate four data streams in parallel.
To add a storage server:
1. Click Add to add a storage server.

2. Type the storage server information as desired.

3. Select Enable De-Duplication to enable de-duplication for this
storage server. By default, de-duplication is not enabled. Once the
storage server has been created, de-duplication cannot be enabled
or disabled for it.
4. If scheduled de-duplication is desired, select Enable Backup
Window and specify the backup window. De-duplication of that
data will not occur during this time duration each day. Only one
backup window may be set. By default, selecting Enable
De-duplication enables immediate de-duplication for the storage
server.
