This section describes how to configure several different backup
applications to use CIFS shares on the DL3D.
1. Create a CIFS share on the DL3D and join a workgroup or domain
type authentication domain (using the same type as the
NetWorker server or storage node that will use the CIFS share).
2. Map the CIFS share to a drive in Windows Explorer and create a
directory (for example, nw) that NetWorker will use as the
location for the advanced file type device (which will be created
in a later step).
3. Add a user netadmin with a password on the DL3D.
4. Add a Windows user called netadmin and make the user a
member of the Administrators and Backup Operators group.
5. Under Device Manager/Services, edit NetWorker Backup and
Recover Server and NetWorker Remote Exec Service.
a. Under Log on as, choose This account and type the netadmin
username and password.

"Media Type" = adv_file
b. Also specify netadmin for username and password for
password on the second tab.
8. Start a backup to the CIFS share.
