Managing reclamation
Scheduling reclamation
The Space Reclamation page is divided into the following sections:
General
Schedule
The General page lets you manually start/stop space reclamation
and monitor the progress of space reclamation.
To run space reclamation:
1. On the Space Management page, click the General tab. The
General page appears.
2. To run space reclamation immediately, click Start.
The space reclamation process begins immediately. The status
section displays the space reclamation status.
Note: The space reclamation process will affect system performance. For
optimal system performance, ensure that space reclamation occurs when
the system is idle.
3. To stop a reclamation in process, click Stop.
The space reclamation stops.
To schedule space reclamation:
1. On the Space Management page, click the Schedule tab.
The Schedule page appears.
The Schedule page is used to schedule periodic space
reclamation either daily or weekly.
2. To schedule periodic space reclamation:
a. Select No Schedule to disable periodic space reclamation.
b. Select Daily or Weekly to set the day and time information.
c. Click Apply.
The space reclamation schedule information is set.
