Flame cutting or welding on painted

surfaces may produce potentially harmful
fumes,
performing
operations, it is recommended that the
coating be removed in the vicinity where the
operation(s) will be performed.
Coating removal may be by mechanical
WARNING
methods,
combination of methods. Flame cutting and/
or welding operations should be carried out
in well ventilated areas using local exhaust
if necessary.
Before working on the truck, make sure of the following:
• Fire protection equipment is nearby.
• Know where the nearest eyewash station is located.
