Steering Control Handle
1. Theory of Operation
The steering control head fastens to the handle stem and
mounts on the carrier frame. Ease of operator steering and
the ability to right-angle stack is provided by the handle
assembly.

2.1. Inspection
When using compressed air, wear effective

chip-guarding
equipment.
cleaning MUST be reduced to less than 30
psi (207 kPa).
NOTE!
CLEANLINESS! Perform procedures in a
clean environment. Make sure all parts are
cleaned before disassembly and kept clean
during assembly.
1. Thoroughly clean all parts and remove all nicks
and burrs with emery cloth.
2. Inspect all parts for excessive wear or scoring. If
heavy scoring is found replace part(s).
3. Inspect handle stem for nicks or rust; clean with
emery cloth or replace handle stem.
4. Inspect head harness for wear or broken wiring(s).
3. Troubleshooting
Check fasteners and the ease of steering.
