Copy Image processing

Symptom
Black image is weaker
when the ACS is on.
Black ballpoint pen
images are colored.
Generation copy makes
less colorful images.
Maps are incorrectly
colored.
The ACS does not
correctly distinguish
between color and black &
white images.
Color images are
enclosed by black lines. Text/Photo
Black letters are enclosed
by while lines.
Black letters and black

Mono color images are

Mode
ACS The ACS Mode use K toner and CMY toner to
create black images. CMY toner makes black
images weaker.
FC This symptom is caused by the characteristic of
ballpoint pen ink.
FC Generation copy is executed in the text mode.
Photo images become less colorful.
FC The Map Mode uses CMYK toner to create black
letters. Sometimes black images are somewhat
colored.
ACS Darker images are sometimes incorrectly taken
as black & white images.
FC, When the following originals are used, color
images are sometimes incorrectly taken as black
letters, or black letters are incorrectly enclosed
by white lines:
• Outputs from a printer (laser or ink-jet)
• Copied images
FC, Black letters and lines are colored when the
background of the original is not clear.
B&W, This symptom is based on the copier
characteristics.

Cause
Specify "Black & White" in the following menu:
