When the local router successfully connects to a peer, you should receive
messages such as those shown in Figure 3-29.

The interface numbers and backup telephone number will, of course, be
specific to your WAN.
If you receive the following message instead, you should follow the trouble-
shooting procedure for calls that do not connect:
DIAL_BACKUP.Connect failed
See "The Call Does Not Connect" on page 3-90 to learn how to resolve specific
problems that cause the connection to fail.
When the local router answers a backup call from a peer, you should receive
messages such as those in figure 3-30.
