Overview
This appendix describes a hypothetical company that needs a WAN to connect
branch offices to each other and to the main office. In addition to providing
the configuration files for each router, this appendix gives step-by-step
instructions for configuring the WAN for this company.
Needs Assessment
ProCurve Retail is a sales-based company that is headquartered in Berlin and
has branch offices in Mannheim, Dublin, and Prague. The company's manu-
facturing plant, which is located in Mannheim, requires a high-bandwidth,
reliable WAN connection to the Berlin office. The Dublin and Prague offices
are remote sales offices that require dedicated connections to the Berlin office
and occasional direct connections with the Mannheim office to upload sales
information. (See Figure 15-1.)
