Configuring HSSI

The primary use of HSSI is for WAN interfaces such as T3(45 Mbps), and OC-1
(52 Mbps) of the synchronous digital hierarchy. The HSSI interface can be
configured as a DTE or a DCE. Each way to configure HSSI interface is shown
in the following.

Purpose
Enters the terminal configuration
mode.
Selects a port to configure as a
HSSI module. [slot/port] denotes a
specified port in a specified slot.
Selects a HSSI mode as a DTE.
Selects a synchronization clock
source. As a DTE, the option, 'line',
is recommended.
Selects a clock rate.
Selects a CRC mode.
Selects a data mode.
Name the interface.
Returns to the 'Router#' prompt.
Show configured information of the
[slot/plort] HSSI interface.
