Bundle Configuration

This section describes how to configure a bundle interface. The interface
bundle specifies the physical connection to be linked, an encapsulation
protocol(Layer 2) and, optionally, Layer 3 parameters.
Configuring a HSSI frame relay bundle
The following example creates a simple interface bundle utilizing the HSSI
interface and Frame Relay(Layer 2) parameters.

Purpose
Enters the terminal
configuration mode.
Sets a bundle interface. 'bundle
name' represents a specific
bundle interface to be
configured at the moment.
Links a HSSI interface to a wan
interface
Selects Frame Relay as an
encapsulation method.
Enters the frame relay prompt
for setting frame relay
parameters.
Selects a clock rate.
Sets a PVC channel number.
Channel range: 16 to 1022.
Sets an IP address for the
PVC.
Returns to the 'Router#'
prompt.
Shows configured information
of the bundle interface or all
bundle interfaces.
