Key Functions

VoIP Gateway
VoIP Gateway function is used to deliver voice calls between PSTN and IP
network. Ubigate iBG3026 acts as the interface between a traditional voice
network and the IP network. Ubigate iBG3026 interfaces with the traditional
voice networks(PBX and PSTN) through T1/E1/ISDN-PRI interfaces and
analog trunk interfaces such as DID, E&M and FXO. Ubigate iBG3026
terminates the PSTN/ISDN and analog trunk signals. In addition, a Ubigate
iBG3026 performs interface with IP network via interwrok with SIP Proxy,
SIP registrar, SIP Gateway, SIP terminal, H.323 Gatekeeper, H.323 Gateway,
etc.
SIP Signaling
A Ubigate iBG3026 system serves as a SIP gateway using SIP signaling
according to RFC 3261 standard, and interworks with other SIP network
entities residing on a network in the following way.
Direct Connection
Direct connection enables call processing without SIP registration. It is used
where there is no Call Manager or a proxy server directly connected to a
network, where signaling is executed directly among gateways without
passing through Call Manager or SIP proxy server.
Indirect Connection via SIP Proxy Server
Indirect connection enables a Ubigate iBG3026 to serve as a SIP gateway for
Call Manager or SIP proxy server.
In this indirect connection, a Ubigate iBG3026 performs registration in Call
Manager or SIP proxy server in regard to REGISTER.
Support of H.323 Signaling
A Ubigate iBG3026 system serves as a H.323 gateway using SIP signaling
compatible with H.323 v5, and interworks with other H.323 network entities
residing on a network in the following way.
H.323 Gateway Mode
In a H.323 gateway mode, a Ubigate iBG3026 serves as a gateway in the zone
managed by a gatekeeper of ITSP.
