DTC P0506 – Idle Control System RPM Lower Than Expected (Cont'd)
Step
7 1. Check for a poor connection at the IAC harness
connector.
2. If a problem is found, replace faulty terminals as
necessary.
Was a problem found?
8 Using a Digital Voltmeter (DVM), check the IAC valve
solenoids (A and B) for the following conditions:
f
An open circuit
f
A short to ground (the IAC body)
f
A short together
Was the problem found?
9 Replace the IAC valve.
Is the action complete?
10 Replace the PCM.
IMPORTANT: The
programmed. Refer to On–Vehicle Service in
Powertrain Control
procedures.
And also refer to latest Service Bulletin.
Check to see if the Latest software is released or not.
And then Down Load the LATEST PROGRAMMED
SOFTWARE to the replacement PCM.
