4 Operation and Configuration
Wi-Fi Direct
Interface > Network > Settings > Wi-Fi > Wi-Fi Direct
Set the Wi-Fi Direct function.
*The Wi-Fi Direct function is enabled only if you have selected Infrastruc-
ture in Mode.
The setting procedures are as follows:
1. Set the device name of the printer using Device Name. You can enter
1 to 32 characters including alphabets (capital and small letters), num-
bers and symbols.
2. Select Connect to search and show the connectable device names.
Select the device name you want to connect using the
buttons, then press the right soft button. If you press the left soft but-
ton, the printer will be set to GO (Group Owner) and will wait for a con-
nection request from another device.
3. Complete the connection according to the display on the printer or the
device you want to connect.
4. Select Disconnect if you want to stop the connection.
5. Press the
button to enable changes.
Note:
If you have changed from Ad-hoc to Infrastructure in Mode, power on
the printer again.
You can connect a maximum of ten devices.
SSID
Interface > Network > Settings > Wi-Fi > SSID
Set the SSID.
The screen shows the Wi-Fi network detected by the printer.
Select the name of the Wi-Fi network you want to connect using the
arrow buttons and press the right soft button to confirm.
To register a Wi-Fi network, press the left soft button and enter the name of
the network.
You can enter a maximum of thirty-two characters including alphabet
(upper case and lower case), numbers and symbols.
