5.6 Adjusting the Head Pressure Balance
Print head balance refers to the equalization of pressure between the print head and the platen roller. If
the print head balance is out of adjustment, the printed image will be darker on one side of the media
than the other and the media will be prone to travel in the direction of greater pressure.

Setting the Criteria of the Head Pressure Balance
• Set the head pressure according to the media thickness, including the liner.
• Set the pressure balance according to the media width.

Head Pressure Setting
The adjustment procedures for the head pressure are as follows:

Open the top cover of the printer.

Find the adjustment dials on the top of the print head assembly as shown.
3
Turn the adjustment dials to match the media thickness.
