Description
This command configures a static route on the controller.
Syntax

Usage Guidelines
This command configures a static route on the controller other than the default gateway. Use the ip default-gateway
command to set the default gateway to the IP address of the interface on the upstream router or switch to which
you connect the controller.
Example
The following command configures a static route:
(host) (config) #ip route 172.16.0.0 255.255.0.0 10.1.1.1

Description
Enter the destination prefix address in dotted decimal format (A.B.C.D).
Enter the destination prefix mask address in dotted decimal format (A.B.C.D).
Enter the forwarding router address in dotted decimal format (A.B.C.D). Optionally, enter the
distance metric (cost) for this route. The cost prioritizes routing to the destination. The lower the
cost, the higher the priority.
Enter the keyword ipsec followed by the ipsec map name to use a static ipsec route map.
Enter the key word null 0 to designate a null interface.
