Common Commands
Command reference
Details on all common commands except those associated with the status model
are covered below. See
*IDN? — identification query
The identification string includes the manufacturer, model number, serial number,
and firmware revision levels and is sent in the following format:
Keithley Instruments Inc., Model nnnn, xxxxxxx, yyyyy
Where:
*OPC — operation complete
*OPC? — operation complete query
When *OPC is sent, the OPC bit in the Standard Event Register (see
will set when all overlapped commands complete. An ASCII "1" is also placed in
the Output Queue to be read by the *OPC? query when overlapped commands
complete.
*RST — reset
When the *RST command is sent, the SourceMeter returns to the default
conditions (see
*TRG — trigger
Use the *TRG command to issue a GPIB or RS-232 trigger to the SourceMeter. It
has the same effect as a group execute trigger (GET).
*TST? — self-test query
This command always places a 0 in the Output Queue. It is included for common
command compatibility, but the Series 2600 does not actually perform a self-test.

xxxxxxx is the serial number.
