System Expansion (TSP-Link)
Front panel operation
The TSP-Link node number can be set from the MAIN MENU of each instrument;
this process is summarized in
Table 9-1
Assigning a node number to an instrument from the front panel
1) Press the MENU key to access MAIN MENU.
2) Select the COMMUNICATION menu.
3) Select the TSPLINK_CFG menu.
4) Select the NODE menu.
5) Set the NODE number (01 to 64) for the instrument.
Remote programming
The tsplink.node attribute is used to set the node number for an instrument:
tsplink.node = N
where : N = 1 to 64
The node number of an instrument can be determined by reading the
tsplink.node
print(tsplink.node)

Resetting the TSP-Link
After all the node numbers are set, you must initialize the system by performing a
TSP-Link reset. For initialization to succeed, all units must be powered on when
the TSP-Link reset is performed.

If you change the system topology after
initialization, you must re-initialize the system by
performing a TSP-Link reset. Changes that affect the
system topology include:
• Powering down or rebooting any unit in the sys-
tem.
