This table lists some common problems and their solutions.
Problem
Fax back ground appears
dirty at receivers.
Image sent or printed con-
tains spots.
Image received is too light.
Message appears blank at
the other end.
You want to cancel a
Memory Transmission.
You want to cancel Immedi-
ate Transmission.

Solution
• Adjust the scan density.
• The ADF or exposure glass is
dirty. Clean it. See the Gene-
ral Reference.
• Make sure that ink or eraser is
dry before setting the original.
• Request the sender to in-
crease the density.
• When using moist, rough or
processed paper, the printed
image may be partly invisible.
Only use recommended paper.
• When
is blinking, toner is
beginning to run out. Replace
the toner car tridge soon.

• The original is not set properly.
Re-set it.
• If the original is being stored,
press the Clear/Stop key.
• If the original is being sent, use
"Cancel TX" in the Information
menu.
• Press the Clear/Stop key.
