Name Description
Fan The USG9520 has one fan module that has two fans. They are
module deployed on the air intake vents of chassis air channels and work in
1+1 backup mode.
Protection The OT terminal of the ground cable is connected to the protection
ground ground terminal of the device, and the other terminal of the ground
terminal cable is connected to the ground point of the cabinet or workbench or
the ground bar of the equipment room.
Air filter The air filters of the USG9520 are deployed on the air intake vents of
chassis air channels to protect the device against dust.
DC power The DC power supply system of the USG9520 consists of two DC
module power modules that are connected to an external direct current
distribution panel and work in 1+1 backup mode.
ESD jack The equipment end of the wrist strap is inserted into the ESD jack. For
the wrist strap to be effective, ensure that the device is grounded.

Name Description
MPU The Main Processing Unit (MPU) on the USG9520 is in charge of
system control and route information learning. It is the central control
unit of the device. The USG9520 MPUs work in 1:1 backup mode.
When the active MPU is faulty, the standby MPU immediately takes
over for it, ensuring service continuity.
LPU/SPU Holds an LPU or SPU.
