Follow-up Procedure
After replacing the LPU, collect all tools. If the replaced LPU is faulty, fill in the
Transmission Sheet
equipment supplier or the specified repair service provider.

3.1.4 Replacing an FPIC of the LPU

This section describes the precautions and procedures for replacing an FPIC.
Context
Flexible Plug-in Card (FPIC) Line Processing Unit (LPU) boards include the LPUF-240,
LPUF-120, LPUF-101, LPUF-40-A, and LPUF-21.
Before replacing an FPIC, note the following:

Check the RUN indicator on the panel of the LPU. If it is on (green), the LPU is working
normally.
Check the alarms. If the system does not generate any alarm related to the new LPU, the
LPU is working normally.
Run the display device command on the console interface. If the LPUs in the
corresponding slots are working normally, the following is displayed:
