Procedure
Step 1 Check the location of the fan module to be replaced.
Before removing the old fan module, check its location, that is, the cabinet and chassis where
the fan module resides, and label it.
Step 2 Put on the ESD wrist strap and connect the ground terminal to the ESD jack on the chassis.
Step 3 Using the Phillips screwdriver, loosen the captive screws on the fan module, as shown in
Figure
Step 4 Pull the upper handle upward and the lower handle downward and draw the fan module about
5 cm out of the slot, then stop. When the fan blades stop rotating, continue pulling out the fan
module, as shown in
