Step 1 Before connecting an optical fiber, attach temporary labels to each end of the optical fiber.
Step 2 Remove the dust cap from an optical interface and insert an optical module into the optical
interface.
Step 3 Remove the dust cap from the optical transceiver.
Step 4 Remove protective caps from optical fiber connectors, insert optical fibers into the optical
transceiver, and connect the fiber to the peer device.
Ensure that the Tx and Rx ports on one end of the optical fiber cable are connected to the
respective Rx and Tx ports on the other end.
Issue 03 (2017-12-15)
Do not overbend optical fibers. The radius should not be shorter than 40 mm.
Do not bundle the optical fibers too tightly; otherwise, the transmission performance of
the optical fibers and the communication between devices may be affected.
NOTE
Store the dust cap for future use. When an optical fiber is disconnected for maintenance, use the dust cap
to protect the optical transceiver.
NOTE
Ensure that the Tx and Rx ports are correctly connected.
