Step 4 Remove the cables from the power module to be replaced.
Step 5 Use the Phillips screwdriver to loosen the captive screws on the PEM, as shown in
3-27.
Step 6 Hold the handle on the PEM with one hand and hold the PEM with the other hand. Then pull
the PEM horizontally and slowly out of the chassis, as shown in

Step 7 Insert the new PEM into the chassis.
Holding the handle on the PEM with one hand and supporting the PEM with the other hand,
slowly insert the PEM vertically along the guide rails in the slot until the rear of the PEM
properly connects to the backplane. Using the Phillips screwdriver, fasten the PEM to the
chassis by turning the captive screws clockwise to tighten them, as shown in

Step 8 Connect the cables to the power module in the original sequence.
Step 9 Verify that the new PEM is working normally.

Issue 03 (2017-12-15)
Check the RUN indicator on the PEM panel. If it is green, the PEM is working normally.
Check the ALM indicator on the PEM panel. If it is red, the PEM fails is not working
normally.
