Air filters are used to protect devices against dust, and cable racks are used to route optical
fibers and cables.
Procedure

NOTE
Before you install a subcard, remove redundant guide rails from the board and store them for future use.
Remove the filler panel from the board.
Smoothly insert the subcard into the board along the guide rail.
Use a Phillips screwdriver to fasten the captive screws to the board.
Boards and subcards are installed in the correct position and captive screws are tightly
fastened.
Filler panels are inserted into vacant slots. Filler panels prevent intrusion of dust and
ensure heat dissipation.
Install air filters on the upper and lower air intake frames.
NOTE
The air intake vent has two air filters, one on the upper end of the front panel of the chassis and
one on the lower end. Orient the pin on the air filter towards the hole to prevent installing upside
down. Otherwise, the air filter cannot be installed.
