2.2.2 Installing the Chassis into the Cabinet

You can mount the USG9580 in a 19-inch standard cabinet using guide rails.
Context
l The USG9580 is heavy and requires four people to lift and move.
l When moving the device, use the handles on the chassis sides. To avoid damaging the

Airflow
– A minimum of 750 mm space between the device and the equipment room wall and
between two neighboring devices to prevent hot air recirculation
– A minimum of 2 U between devices installed in the same cabinet, between the top-
most device and the top of the cabinet, and between the bottom-most device and the
bottom of the cabinet
Maintenance
A minimum of 700 mm between devices and between devices and walls
NOTE
The length of three holes on the mounting rails is 1 U, which is equivalent to 44.45 mm.
CAUTION
device, do not use the handles on modules.
Determine where to install floating nuts and mark the positions using a marker, as shown
in Figure 2-6.
Install the floating nuts at the marked positions.
Use M6 screws to fix the guide rails in position.
