Procedure
Step 1 Confirm where the SPUs are to be installed.
Before expanding SPU capacity, first confirm where the SPUs are to be installed, including
the cabinets, chassis, and slots. Ensure that the SPUs are installed in the same slot on the
active and standby FWs.
Step 2 Check whether the connectors of the SPUs to be installed are damaged.
Step 3 Optional: If two FWs work in load balancing mode, switch the operating mode to the active/
standby mode. To switch the operating mode, run the hrp switch active command on either
FW.
If the two FWs work in active/standby mode, skip this step.
