5.13 Replacing the Parts of a Data Switch 5.14 Replacing the Parts of a Quorum Server 5.1 Installing and Using SmartKit SmartKit (formerly named Toolkit) is a serviceability tool developed by Huawei. It helps technical service engineers and maintenance engineers manage and maintain devices. 5.1.1 Installing SmartKit This operation enables you to install SmartKit and desired tool packages on your maintenance terminal.

Procedure Step 1 Download SmartKit. Use the maintenance terminal to log in to http://support.huawei.com/enterprise. In the search box on the home page, type SmartKit and choose Cloud Storage > Tools and Platforms > SmartKit from the drop-down list. The search result page is displayed.
5 Replacing FRUs NOTE l You can apply for an account of the support website at http://support.huawei.com/enterprise. l You have 180 days to use an account after it is activated. If there are only 45 days or fewer days left, you will be reminded of activating the tool again.
NOTE This section uses an optical module as an example. Install the latest SmartKit before replacing an FRU. Operators: technical support engineers and maintenance engineers from Huawei or certified by Huawei Procedure Step 1 Log in to SmartKit.

If you need to perform the replacement again, click Cancel and then confirm that the interface module and the controller corresponding to the optical module are working normally. If the Danger dialog box is displayed again, contact Huawei technical support. Step 7 Click Next.

Prerequisites The spare part of the disk module is ready. Huawei-certified disk modules that match the product model are used as spare disk modules. These modules are obtained by service engineers based on the part codes of failed disk modules.
