Making the 24 VDC Power Supply Cable

Use the following procedure to make a 24 VDC cable.
Additional Information: The 24 VDC cable is not supplied with the system, but
is available in the optional Power Cable kit (part number 04120-000) Refer to
Basic System Cable Layout on page 61 for more information. See Figure 4-11.
1. Locate the connector and pins.
2. Use 2.08-1.31 mm
to safely reach from the user-supplied 24 VDC power supply to the robot interface
panel.
3. Crimp the pins to the wires using a crimping tool.
4. Insert the pins into the connector. Confirm that the 24 VDC and 24 VDC return wires
are in the correct terminals in the plug.

Connecting the 24 VDC Cable

Use the following procedure to connect the 24 VDC cable from the power supply to the robot
interface panel.
Additional Information: Refer to External Connection Specifications on page 145
for more information.
IMPORTANT: Do not apply 24 VDC power until all installation steps are com-
plete and verified and all safety measures are in place.
The following instructions correspond to the numbered steps in green boxes in the following
figure. The red circled letters identify specific items.
