Servicing PDECBs

There is one PDECB for each CMIOU. For the locations of the PDECBs in the CMIOU
chassis, see "CMIOU Chassis Rear Components" on page

The replacement procedures are the same for all PDECBs.
This procedure requires that you handle components that are sensitive to electrostatic

discharge. This discharge can cause server components to fail. Follow antistatic precautions to

Step Description
1. Remove the CMIOU or switch unit so that you can
replace the PDECB.
2. Replace a PDECB.
3. Install the CMIOU or switch unit after you have
replaced the PDECB.
