To install the 6-port valve
1. Install the valve drive onto the valve bracket that is attached to the x-axis rail.
Note To minimize gradient delay volume, install the 6-port valve as close as possible
to the injection valve as possible. For best results, you use the middle position of the
3-valve holder stack.
2. Connect the MODBUS A connector on the valve drive to the MODBUS connector on
the back of the x-axis main rail using the supplied cable assembly. If several serial valve
drives are installed, connect each valve drive in serial.
3. Install the 6-port valve into the valve drive and secure in place using a T-20 Torx driver,
with port1 facing up.
4. Install all tubing and columns using the tubing, fittings, and ferrules supplied in the kit
(Figure
102).
